N° 02 · Why BGB
Canadian fulfillment, built for board game creators
Getting a crowdfunded game into Canadian hands means customs, duties, brokerage and a very long last kilometre. That's the whole job here.
We're the importer of record
We handle CBSA clearance, duties and taxes ourselves. It's the step that trips up most cross-border campaigns, and it's the one we do every week.
No surprise fees for backers
Your backers pay nothing extra at the door. No brokerage bills, no COD charges, no angry inbox. Just their game.
Eco-friendly repackaging
Every order is repacked in right-sized, recyclable materials that protect components and cut waste and dimensional-weight cost.
Fast local delivery
We ship through trusted Canadian couriers with full tracking, reaching backers from BC to Newfoundland.
One point of contact
Clear per-project quotes and one person who answers. Built by board game people who understand crowdfunding timelines.
Our mistake, our dime
If the error is ours (a wrong address, the wrong item packed) we make it right, on us. If a courier loses or damages a parcel, we file the claim on your behalf.
N° 03 · FAQ
Before you hand off your print run
Everything publishers ask us before handing off their Canadian fulfillment. Don't see your question? Get in touch.
What is board game fulfillment?
Board game fulfillment is the storage, customs clearance, packing and shipping of finished games to backers or customers. For a crowdfunding campaign, a fulfillment partner receives your print run, splits it into individual backer orders, and ships each one — so you don't have to mail hundreds of boxes yourself.
Do you handle Canadian customs and duties?
Yes. We import your shipment into Canada, handle CBSA customs clearance, and take care of duties and taxes as part of the service. This is the step that most often delays or surprises publishers shipping across the border — and it's exactly what we specialize in.
Will my backers pay extra fees when their game is delivered?
No. We pay duties and GST/HST up front and ship everything delivered-duty-paid. The courier hands over the box and leaves.
Where in Canada do you deliver?
We deliver coast to coast — every province and territory — using trusted Canadian couriers with full tracking, from British Columbia to Newfoundland and the North.
How much does board game fulfillment in Canada cost?
Every project gets its own quote. It depends on your game's size and weight, the number of backers, and the delivery mix. Send your specs and you'll see per-unit and per-project numbers.
Can you fulfill Kickstarter and other crowdfunding projects?
Yes. Crowdfunding fulfillment is most of what we do. We ship Kickstarter and Gamefound campaigns and sync with your backer data and pledge manager.
Do you offer eco-friendly packaging?
Yes. We repackage every order in right-sized, recyclable materials. That protects components in transit, reduces waste, and often lowers dimensional-weight shipping costs at the same time.
Do Canadian backers pay duties or taxes on their pledge?
No surprise ones. We import as the importer of record and pay Canadian duties and GST/HST up front, so your backers receive their game delivered-duty-paid — with nothing extra to pay at the door.
Which pledge managers do you work with?
We work with the tools publishers already use — BackerKit, PledgeBox, Gamefound and Crowd Ox — importing your backer data, add-ons and pledge tiers so every order ships correctly.
Should I fulfill my Kickstarter myself or use a 3PL?
DIY works for a few dozen orders. Beyond that, customs paperwork, dimensional-weight shipping and hundreds of individual parcels quickly eat your time and margin. A board-game 3PL handles it end to end.
How long does fulfillment take?
Once your freight arrives and customs clears, we typically begin shipping backer orders within a couple of weeks, scaling to your campaign size. You'll get a timeline with your quote.
Where are you located?
We're based in the Greater Toronto Area (Richmond Hill, Ontario), with fast ground transit across the Windsor–Quebec City corridor and courier coverage coast to coast.
How do I get started?
Send us your game's dimensions, quantity and a rough backer split. We'll come back with a quote and a plan.
